Cold Caller is now buying short crime and mystery fiction
Hello, callers.
We’re excited to make this first post, because it means we’re officially open to submission. Cold Caller is a publisher of crime and mystery fiction, and we define those terms broadly. We're looking for stories of bad decisions and worse consequences; unlucky losers who can't catch a break; grifters and con men convinced they're about to score big; good men and women who have very good reasons to do terrible things.
You can read more about who we are and what we like on our About page. Mean is good. Funny is good. Mean plus funny plus murder might be the best, but if you’ve got other ideas we’re open to being convinced.
What’s in it for you
For subscribers, Cold Caller is your monthly source of crime and mystery fiction. Stories of mayhem, violence, and wisecracks. If you like that sort of thing, then, baby: This is the sort of thing that you’ll like.
For contributors, Cold Caller offers a base payment of $125 on publication. Can we promise fortune and fame? No. But we also can’t promise you won’t become rich and famous, now can we?
